Assistant Professor Eve Donnelly

Despite having higher than average bone density, individuals with type 2 diabetes paradoxically have increased risk of fracture relative to individuals without diabetes. Assistant professor Eve Donnelly has been granted a 5-year $659,000 K01 Mentored Career Development Grant from the National Institutes of Health to investigate the changes in collagen properties that occur in bone tissue with type 2 diabetes and their relationship to fracture risk.
