Composites
Nanostructured hybrids of polymers and ceramics offer properties and performance unachievable by either class of materials alone. The art of combining disparate materials is very challenging, especially at the nanoscale where the salutary effects are often greatest. Cornell faculty are world-class leaders in the field of organic/inorganic nanocomposites.
