Biography

Natalie joined the Schlom research group in 2011. Her interests lie in the design, fabrication, and application of new electronic materials. The research she is carrying out focuses on how a material's structure affects its properties from the atomic to device level. She works particularly with defect mitigating oxide superlattices for dielectric and ferroelectric applications.

Natalie graduated with a bachelor's degree in Physics with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Virginia. She is especially engaged in mentoring women in engineering.
