Vasanth Balakrishnan
Biography
Vasanth joined the Jena-Xing Semiconductor devices research group in 2017. He focuses on Molecular-Beam Epitaxy growth of Ga2O3 thin films and related ternaries, their characterization and device fabrication for power electronic applications. He earned his B.Tech (Honors) in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India. He also worked as Process TD Intern at GlobalFoundries during summer of 2018 where his research focus was on Wet etch and Cleans processes.
At Cornell, he was involved with Lattice MSE GPSA as Secretary for academic year 2017-18. Currently he is the Co-president of Asha Cornell and the Secretary of Spicmacay Cornell. He likes to play chess and binge watch TV shows in his free time.
