MSE welcomes our newest faculty member, Professor Andrej Singer.
Andrej received his Ph.D. from the University of Hamburg in Germany before he worked at the University of California San Diego. His research focuses on the understanding of the nanoscale structure and its dynamics in complex materials by using novel x-ray characterization techniques, primarily at synchrotrons and x-ray free-electron lasers. Andrej is interested in a broad range of systems – spanning from applied energy materials in operando devices to fundamental correlated electron materials and biological photonic crystals.
